Mark Punzalan is an Intellectual Property and Commercial Litigation attorney who advises companies and individuals primarily in trade secret disputes, trademark matters, and complex business disputes. He is an experienced litigator who has represented clients in federal and state courts nationwide. Prior to founding Punzalan Law, Mr. Punzalan represented clients in the areas of class action, securities, and whistleblower litigation at the San Francisco law firms of Finkelstein Thompson LLP and Berman DeValerio. In 2016, Mr. Punzalan was selected as a "SuperLawyer" in the Northern California edition of SuperLawyers magazine, and he was selected as a “Rising Star” in this magazine's 2015 edition.

Herbert T. Patty, Esq., serves as Of Counsel to Punzalan Law, P.C. Mr. Patty is a Registered Patent Attorney licensed to practice law in the State of California and is licensed to represent individuals before the United States Patent and Trademark Office ("USPTO"). Mr. Patty has substantial experience drafting and filing patent applications, filing and prosecuting trademark applications, licensing Intellectual Property assets, managing trade secret matters, and representing entities in Intellectual Property disputes.

Before becoming an attorney, Mr. Patty worked for Intel Corporation as a Process Engineer at Intel's High Volume Manufacturing factory in Chandler, Arizona. Mr. Patty also worked in Intel's Legal Department where he performed patent licensing and patent prosecution duties. Throughout his career, Mr. Patty has worked for various boutique Intellectual Property firms in Silicon Valley working primarily on patent prosecution, licensing, and pre-litigation matters. Mr. Patty has worked on matters for a wide range of clients, from large high-technology companies - including Apple Inc., The Boeing Company, Intel Corporation, IBM, and Nvidia - to startup companies and individual engineers.

Mr. Patty graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering and received his Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law with a certificate in High Technology Law.
